Scott got his Bachelor's degree in Polymer Materials and Engineering at Zhejiang University and his Ph.D. in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. He also got postdoctoral training in the Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Pennsylvania.
Scott is a fan of generalized puzzles. In his research, he enjoys finding connections between different fields and creating something new. Besides research, Scott likes to collect stories, folklore, and anecdotes and create new stories based on potential links between them. Unfortunately, he is, against his wish, a mediocre storyteller.
Yihang YAO

Yihang graduated from College of Polymer Science and Engineering, Sichuan University, has gotten her bachelor's degree of polymer materials and engineering in the year of 2020 and master's degree in material science in 2023. In the summer of 2023, Yihang joined NE2 and majored in electronics science and engineering in Westlake University.
Yihang is going to work hard in the areas of topological phononic crystals. Just like La Petit Prince, she believes only the enough efforts and stiff aims make the unique ideas bloom up like roses. At the same time, she also enjoys writing poems and having calligraphy practice to relax herself.
Danyang HAO

Danyang received her bachelor's degree in polymer materials and engineering at Taiyuan University of Technology and master's degree in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Danyang joined NE2 in the autumn of 2023 with the fragrance of osmanthus flowers, focusing on the development of phononic crystal devices and circuits through nanofabrication.
Danyang believes effort doesn't lie. Only hard work despite challenges are more likely to make one's goals achieved. In her spare time, she likes listening to music and taking pictures. Touching music and capturing beautiful moments and scenery are just so satisfying.
Xinlong Zhao

Xinlong received his Bachelor's degree in Mechanical and Electronic Engineering from Northwest A&F University, in 2023. In the winter of the year, he joined NE2 to learn more about microwaves and embark on a new journey. As someone who seeks personal growth and authenticity, Xinlong strives to break free from the constraints of societal norms. He has made numerous efforts to gain clarity on his true identity and hopes to live authentically. Moreover, he strongly believes in the value of hard work and is patiently waiting for his season of success.
